What We Do
Web Design and Support
Let us build your Website! We will discuss style, content, photography, and function with you. We can get your domain name and maintain your site as well. There are many styles to choose from, or if you’ve seen a site you really like, we can make one similar. Reasonable hourly rate for this development and yes, we created our Computer Handy Website!
Web Domains and Email Campaigns
Training
Need help learning about your Windows PC or Mac? Do you want to understand Facebook and Instagram or how to maintain your home network? Did you get a new Apple or Android phone or tablet and need help setting it up and understanding how to use it? We can definitely help. Our training runs $30/hour. Two hour minimum please.
Laptop Repair / Desktop Repair
PC or Mac tune-ups. Upgrades, hardware replacement, and making sure your personal data is wiped from your devices, whether desktop, laptop, or mobile. Our rate is $50/hour with a 1 hour minimum. You should also know if we travel to you roughly outside of Mebane, there is a small fee. You can always drop your system off to us!
Virus and Spyware Removal
PC and Mac for this also. We insure there is no malware left on your system, and if we can’t be 100% sure, we can save your data, scan it, reload your system and restore your data. $110 ( $90 for seniors 60 and older ).
Data/File Recovery
We can now recover files from disk drives that are either getting errors or seem unusable. Maybe your system wants to format the drive you knew used to be good? We will attempt to recover what we can, even on thumb drives, and won’t even charge you anything if nothing can be recovered! Minimum charge of $100 please.

Computer Handy, LLC: In home and drop off support for PC (Dell, HP, Lenovo, Acer, ASUS, etc.) and Mac computer software and hardware, peripherals, tablets, home networking and more in the Mebane, Graham, Hillsborough, Burlington, Haw River, NC area.
The owner of Computer Handy, LLC is Jim Lewellen. He has been an IT professional for decades in computer support, administration, and analysis/programming. With years of programming and design experience, mostly in the financial services field, Jim can handle your Website needs. He is a twice certified computer support professional, with a CompTIA A+ certification. This certifies him to work on Windows and Mac computers, as well as home networking, peripherals, tablets, and more!

FAQ
Do I have to drop my computer off, or can you come to me?
We can do both! Give us a call and we can arrange either one. If you are beyond 15 miles from Mebane, there is a $20 service charge per trip to you. Please also know that we will wear a mask if needed.
Can you diagnose my issue remotely?
Yes, of course assuming your computer or tablet is working well enough to run, and you have a working Internet connection. We currently use AnyDesk remote access software, which is available on most platforms.
Do you have a minimum charge and/or hourly rate?
There is a minimum charge of $50 ( for the first hour ). Hourly rate is $50/hour, with limits, as we have set prices for common remedies. See our price list section for more details, or message, email, or call!
My Wi-Fi coverage and speed are spotty. Can you help?
Yes, we can diagnose and suggest remedies for your home or small business. Keep in mind the issue could be your Internet provider!
Can you handle both Windows and Mac computer issues?
Yes, and with some hard work we can get either of those kinds of systems running great once more. We have Linux/UNIX experience as well.
I have old equipment to reuse or dispose of. How can I do that?
We can help with that, and it’s important to make sure all your personal and sensitive information is wiped from your devices before you give them away, sell them, or dispose of them. This includes iPhones/Android phones,tablets, desktops and laptops.
I need a domain name and domain email addresses! Can you help me with that?
Absolutely! We have reasonably-priced vendors we work with for both of those things.
I have my own Wix/WordPress/Squarespace etc. Website I made. Can you manage and enhance that for me?
Sure can. We can work out a reasonable monthly rate for that, and then you simply call on us whenever you want something done.
Ack! I can't access any of my files on my disk! Can you help?
We can sure try! We have successfully recovered files for customers’ disk drives and thumb drives. While we can’t guarantee all files will be recovered, we will get what we can and will charge you nothing if we recover nothing, else $100 minimum depending on the difficulty of the recovery and time spent on it.
